THE RUNDOWN

IKIN CEO and Co-Founder Joe Ward

It’s hard to believe we are approaching the middle of the year, but we’re not slowing down on our continued efforts to impact business industries with our educational guidance and innovative tech.

Technology education has always been a central tenet of IKIN, and, recently, I was invited by 5G Evolution World to share my insights about the impact 5G will have on emerging business applications. The article I wrote digs down into the benefits of 5G’s expanded network capabilities and the B2B impacts holograms and other dimensional approaches will have on IoT, Industrial and Logistics, and Quality Control and Safety.

IKIN continued to impress last month in Texas where we held a private event for developers at the San Antonio-based accelerator Geekdom. The event drew over 30 application developers who were blown away by our large format holographic display, the IKIN ARC, where they interacted with our city demo. Taylor and I were on-site to give an overview of IKIN and our tech, to answer questions, and to bask in all the excitement with our guests and host.

We still have a few open applications for key positions on the IKIN team in the areas of software and systems engineering as well as in QA testing. Candidates are invited to apply here. And, a newsletter wouldn’t be complete without a look at last month’s IKIN Blog and social media highlights. You’ll find links and samples for both below.

Continue onward to read more about all the exciting IKIN action, past, present, and future.

Thank you and all the best,

Joe Ward, IKIN CEO & Co-founder

5G OFFERS EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES FOR NOVEL HOLOGRAPHIC BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

The expanded bandwidth of emerging 5G will allow for significant boosts in mobile 3D capabilities, including new avenues for holographic technology to impact B2B. IKIN CEO Joe Ward offered a detailed and insightful analysis of 5G business applications as a guest writer for 5G Evolution News in an article published last month. Dig into the full details here.

DEVELOPERS GEEK OUT OVER THE IKIN ARC

IKIN drew more than 30 application developers to a private event held on April 20 at Geekdom, a high-tech accelerator located in San Antonio, Texas. The draw: a chance to test run the IKIN ARC. Taylor Scott and Joe Ward offered a brief introduction to IKIN and the technology behind both the IKIN ARC and RYZ before joining Micah Holiday in guiding hands-on demonstrations and describing how holographic content could add to new and current design projects and products. Developers had the opportunity to interact with our city demo, watching traffic patterns and viewing the cityscape from various perspectives. Participants at the event work in many fields ranging from education to IoT to advanced business and consumer applications. The IKIN ARC was the centerpiece of the event and performed flawlessly for every person who sat down to demo the platform in the middle of a window-filled room atop a downtown office building.

“We were almost overwhelmed with the passion and intensity displayed by these developers upon their first exposure to our solutions,” said Joe Ward. “The flow of ideas and questions was fast and furious, and I think we can probably find some good Beta and commercial partners among this group. Seeing the “wow” in the eyes and actions of these men and women that are already working at the cutting edge of technology offers great assurance that we are bringing the right product to market at the right time.”

The IKIN Blog is your place to explore new tech topics and industry issues, clarify the latest hot-button terms, explore historical context, and find out how IKIN fits into it all. Our bi-monthly blog is written as an engaging educational resource for those in technology industries and those interested in exploring the past, present, and future of our digital world. Last month, we looked at the growth of digital shopping and pondered how emerging dimensional tech might improve online shopping experiences. Additionally, we channeled our inner cartoon cats and basked in the communal craze of fun social media filters to see how the trend emerged and where it could be going. All this and more is available to you at the touch of a button on the IKIN Blog.
